Egypt Nile Cruise Holidays

Egypt has one of the longest rivers in the world, The Nile, running nearly at the middle of its land on south-north axis. At ancient times, it didn’t only serve the usual agricultural purposes but a great civilization was established along its banks, as the ancient Egyptians used it for transferring the stone blocks from their quarries to where they should be erected like the granite from Aswan and the Fine limestone blocks from Tura. With today’s development, Nile River is used for further purposes and we became having what is called Egypt Nile cruise holidays.

The trips of Egypt Nile Cruise were invented to let visitors who are interested in the Egyptian history and monuments, enjoy navigation in the Nile’s water to move between the attractions and ancient temples built by the Pharaohs in Upper Egypt, particularly Luxor and Aswan. So it became serving both recreational and cultural aims at the same time.

Egypt Nile cruise tours and holidays lie mainly in two categories, in other words, they can be operated using two types of cruise ships. Either shared onboard deluxe Nile cruise ships like those of Sonesta or Moevenpick, or privately by Dahabiya Nile cruises. Such tours are usually operated between Luxor and Aswan as mentioned before, both ways Luxor – Aswan and this case, journey takes five days/ four nights, or Aswan – Luxor and it takes four days/ three nights.

Through the journey you will stop by both of Luxor and Karnak temples at Luxor's east bank and temple of Queen Hatshepsut at the wesern bank in addition to the temples of Edfu, Komombu and Philae Temple of Isis.
